Lenders and Other Users: We may partner with lenders, banks, insurers,telecommunication companies, rental management companies and other users of credit and other analytical information to process and deliver your credit, income and employment data as you specifically authorize. In addition, we may share de-identified or aggregated information without your consent with our partners and business customers for analytics, marketing, modeling and risk management purposes.
Fraud Prevention and Identity Verification Agencies: We may share personal information collected from you as permitted by law with fraud prevention agencies and identify verification companies (including fraud prevention agencies from other countries) who will use it to verify your identity and to prevent fraud or money laundering. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR
We are based in the United States and will process and use your information from here to provide our service to you and/or the lenders and other end users you authorize us to provide your information to. Personal Information is maintained on our servers or those of our service providers. We will keep your personal information for as long as necessary to respond to any inquiries from you, to resolve any disputes, enforce our legal rights, and as required by law for recordkeeping, anti-fraud and other purposes, including to comply with the US Fair Credit Reporting Act. HOW WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SECURE
We use a variety of technologies and processes to help protect the integrity of our Services, including physical, technological, and organizational security measures. Nova Credit operates under a comprehensive Information Security Policy based on internationally recognized standards of security (ISO 27001 standard) and holds an ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II attestation. We have a dedicated information security team who are responsible for administering access to systems. We are independently audited on an annual basis and perform regular risk assessments against our critical and external facing applications.
No information transmission or storage system is 100% secure and protecting your personal information is also your responsibility. Please safeguard any authentication and identification information you use to access our Services. You should not disclose your authentication information to any third-party and should immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password. The Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”), Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014 (“the Code”) and general law place restrictions on how we handle your personal information. We give effect to these laws in our dealings with your personal information.

Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) is a credit reporting agency based in the U.S. which assists Australians living abroad in obtaining access to credit in those foreign jurisdictions. We act in the capacity of an ‘access seeker’ under the Privacy Act to assist you and Nova Credit Inc. (US) in obtaining your personal information which is required to assess your application for credit in the following foreign jurisdictions:
The information that we collect is used for Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) to provide assistance to you in obtaining access to credit in foreign jurisdictions. As part of this Service, we will use your personal information to verify your identity through the Australian Government Document Verification Service (DVS) and provide credit information to banks, financial institutions and other lenders you designate in your nominated foreign jurisdiction.
How we collect your information
We collect information in a number of ways, including:
directly from you, when you provide information online, by phone or in documents
by requesting for a copy of your credit report from an Australian credit reporting body e.g. Equifax.
Where we collect your personal information from third parties, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of the circumstances of that collection. We recommend you review our website regularly to see updates to this policy.
To whom do we regularly disclose your information?
We will disclose personal information about you to Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) which is located in the United States, to facilitate your application for credit in foreign jurisdictions. Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) may be required to disclose information we share with them under a foreign law. In those instances, we will not be responsible for that disclosure.
By using our Services, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information (including your credit report) to Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) and acknowledge that we will not be required to take reasonable steps to ensure Nova Credit Inc. (U.S.) does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Australian Privacy Act in relation to personal information.
We may also disclose personal information about you to third parties involved in the provision of our services. We may disclose your personal information to the following third parties:
our employees, contractors and agents (e.g. people who are authorised to administer our computer systems and IT systems), professional advisers, consultants and representatives);
you, your agents and others you have authorised to interact with us on your behalf;

We take reasonable steps to ensure any personal information which we no longer require for any lawful purpose is disposed of in a secure and compliant way.
The security of your information is important to us. We use a range of physical, electronic and other security measures to protect the information that we hold about you. These security measures include imposing role based controls on information access, providing training to staff about information security and monitoring compliance with our information security standards.
We will only hold your personal information for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. If your personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to de-identify or destroy your personal information that is in our possession or control.
